MSc in Applied Geophysics, ETH Zurich, TU Delft, RWTH Aachen
In 2017, I joined the Joint Master in Applied Geophysics, a two-year program offered jointly by TU Delft, ETH Zurich, and RWTH Aachen that aims to provide a truly international and multifaceted education in both theoretical and practical aspects of subsurface exploration and signal processing. I spent one semester at each institution - starting at TU Delft with advanced courses in reflection seismology and seismic imaging, followed by exploration, engineering and environmental geoscience modules at ETH Zurich, and concluding with numerical methods and hydrogeophysics and engineering at RWTH Aachen.
This program offers a unique opportunity to learn from the expertise of each technical university, but also to spend a semester on the MSc thesis with various options. I was selected to do my MSc thesis in a collaborative project between ETH Zurich and the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.
